Just come back from music tourrrr in Salzburg a couple of days ago.

WAS.
IMMENSE.

We did have two days on a coach to get there and two to get back but we had enough DVDs to keep us entertained. I also watched the first half of twilight. It was the biggest pile of crap I have ever had the misfortune to witness. Somehow i'm going to have to survive the whole of new moon so that I can watch JCB in it. I might bring a book with meh to the cinema.

So yehhh we drove to Dover, hopped on a ferry across to Calais then passed through France, Belgium and Luxembourg and then got back into France and stayed in a hotel in Strasbourg overnight then went through Germany and finally Austria!

First day in Salzburg was QUITE AWESOME. Had a walking tour of the city including the Mirabell gardens where the sound of music was filmed. Then we were shopping in the old town and Millie, Jessamine, Shani, Laura, Abbie, Becca and I found some americans who were spreading the word of Jesus through the medium of dance. And they made us dance with them. So I ended up dancing with some dude called Spencer and LUCKY LUCKY SHANI danced with George who wass gorrgeousssssssss. And who's name we didn't actually know but we called him George. And I died. And in the evening we had our first concert which was quite cool, but the church had a terrible acoustic.

Second day, went to the salt mines which are AWESOME. You go in through all these tunnels on a little train thing, going really quite fast and then you watch all these laser shows and go down these wooden slides and see all the machinery and shizzz. But the most awesome thing was our tour guide, Christian, who was SO COOL. He came down the slide the rest of us had come down four at a time and screaming our heads off BACKWARDS. And then he just continued to be awesome. At the end we all got hyper and he said "Now when you get back up into the light... behave" and we lol'd. HARD. COncert that night was better, in a really lovely painted church.

Final day, we had a boat trip across the Wolfgansee to St Wolfgang where we did moar shopping. But the concert was AWESOME. The rehearsals were a nightmare, partly because there was a full scale thunderstorm and partly because the church was tiny but the concert was great and we go a standing ovation

SO YEH. I had a fabulous time. I missed mai buddehs though, speshully chazzertazz! I got her a present though so it's cool ^^
